I had the opportunity to chat with Margalo Ashley-Farrand/Satyabhama, about the benefits of chanting mantras and the Planetary-Navagraha Puja. I do the planetary mantras and they work! Attending a Puja is a powerful experience on all levels. Puja's work within each person in a special way. Everyone's experience is unique, yet there is a common thread of clearing and cleansing the whole being from the inside out. If you want to move or shift a lot of energy/clear karma, attending a Puja can help facilitate this. Of the four types of karma described in Eastern texts, Prarabdha Karma, the position of the planets at the time of your birth, is the one kind of karma that cannot be changed. Although this astrological DNA remains constant throughout life, the way we receive planetary vibrations can indeed be changed. This ceremony can ease the way we are forced to deal with difficult planetary alignments & natal configurations. This puja is performed to soften and reduce planetary karma of all kinds. Satyabhama does various Pujas on a regular basis. If you cannot be at one of these pujas you can participate in absentia we will pray for you specifically during the puja. For full details contact Satyabhama directly at: http://www.facebook.com/margalo.ashleyfarrand or via her website http://www.sanskritmantra.com/satyabhama Margalo Ashley-Farrand/Satyabhama Margalo Ashley-Farrand, given the name Satyabhama by Sadguru Sant Keshavadas, began having Christian mystical experiences at age 14. Eluv Interview with Patrick Mooney

Interview with Eluv & Hemi-Sync Audio Engineer Patrick Mooney about Hemi-Sync
Hemi-Sync
Hemi-Sync® is an audio-guidance process that works through the generation of complex, multi layered audio signals, which act together to create a resonance that is reflected in unique brain-wave forms characteristic of specific states of consciousness. The result is a focused, whole-brain state known as hemispheric synchronization, or “Hemi-Sync®,” where the left and right hemispheres are working together in a state of coherence. As an analogy, lasers produce focused, coherent light. Hemi-Sync® produces a focused, coherent mind, which is an optimal condition for improving human performance.
Robert Monroe was the first to use left and right brain synchronization via sound to access and achieve altered states of awareness. He originated the concept of brain wave entrainment. This internationally acclaimed process called Hemi-Sync® is a patented audio guidance technology that works quite simply by sending different sounds (tones) to each ear through stereo headphones. The two hemispheres of the brain then act in unison to “hear” a third signal – the difference between the two tones. This is not an actual sound, but an electrical signal that can only be perceived within the brain by both brain hemispheres working together.
Thanks to the cooperation of notable medical institutions and universities, the scientifically and clinically proven Hemi-Sync® technology continues to be the focus of a variety of specialized research projects. In addition, many therapists, physicians, educators, and other professionals use Hemi-Sync® extensively.
Musical Hemi-Sync® CDs can be used in two ways: you can simply relax, listen, and enjoy the experiences that unfold or you can play the CD as a soothing background while carrying out another activity (but NOT while driving or using heavy machinery). Either way, be prepared for an experiential treat.

About Satyabhama Margalo Ashley-Farrand Margalo Ashley-Farrand, given the name Satyabhama by Sadguru Sant Keshavadas, began having Christian mystical experiences at age 14. In 1981, she completed the arduous Narvarna Sadhana and Shiva Sadhana as taught by Sant Keshavadas. Thereafter she learned to perform the ancient pujas and yajnas. Satyabhama met Satguru Sant Keshavadas in December 1980 at his Temple of Cosmic Religion in Washington, DC. She also met Namadeva the same evening, and a year and a week later they were married by Satgurus Sant Keshavadas and Rama Mata. Satyabhama studied with Sant Keshavadas and Rama Mata and with Namadeva for the next 3 decades. She became a Vedic priest in her own right in the mid-1980s and worked with Namadeva Acharya in performing and teaching ancient mantra techniques and spiritual practices. In 2008 and 2009, like Namadeva Acharya, she received guru diksha to be a guru from Satguru Rama Mata, Sadguru Sant Keshavadas' widow, to whom he passed the lineage in 1997. When Namadeva Acharya discovered that his death was imminent, he told Satyabhama that he wanted her to continue their mission of teaching the dharma, and he gave her a powerful initiation to enable her to teach his workshops with his spiritual energy. Since then, she has continued to travel and teach and also to manage the Gayatri Temple in Beaverton, Oregon, with the encouragement of Satguru Rama Mata and her family. Satyabhama has a B.A. from New York University and a Law Degree from Southwestern School of Law. Dedicated to serving God through humanity, she is a certified mediator and maintained a private law practice from 1981-2007. Prior to her law practice, Satyabhama worked to further the status of women through her involvement with the National Organization for Women and the National Women's Political Caucus. In 1992, she ran for Los Angeles County Supervisor and in 1994 for the California State Assembly. Concerned with elections fraud, she co-founded the Institute for Fair Elections, whose president was interviewed in 1996 about documented voting irregularities on the television program, 60 Minutes. She is listed in Who's Who of American Women, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World. In 2004, Satyabhama assumed management of Saraswati Publications, LLC and Sanatana Dharma Satsang, Inc., a 501(c)3 religious organization. Eluv Live Interview with Don Miguel Ruiz
Monday Nov 08, 2010
Monday Nov 08, 2010
I met Don Miguel Ruiz for the first time in Miami over 12 years ago. I was deeply moved by his teachings and wrote a song called "Brighter Days" inspired by his work. Recently I had the opportunity to spend time with him again. don Miguel Ruiz was born into a family of healers and raised in rural Mexico by a curandera (healer) mother and nagual (shaman) grandfather. The family anticipated don Miguel would embrace their centuries old legacy of healing and teaching and as a nagual, carry forward the esoteric Toltec knowledge. Instead, distracted by modern life, don Miguel chose to attend medical school and later teach and practice as a surgeon. don Miguel began teaching in the United States, with his mother, the Curandera, Sarita in 1987. He taught small groups of people in a small room in Logan Heights, CA. Working with Sarita, he first began with healing practices. As his knowledge of English grew, he realized that he preferred to share his lineage through oral tradition, rather than a healing tradition. don Miguel's students grew in numbers and his mythologies and guidance grew with them. He appeared in lectures in Santa Fe, NM, Los Angeles, CA, Sacramento, CA, Santa Rosa, CA and in many other locales. He began to share the wisdom that resulted in the creation of The Four Agreements®, when he witnessed his various students struggling to quiet their minds. don Miguel created a specific series of practical tools, that when used by anyone, can result in consistent and long-term personal transformation. The tools shared by don Miguel are based on common sense and shared with such simplicity, that the universal message underlying his teaching is recognized by many. don Miguel's message is simple, practical and when implemented, even incrementally, changes lives. In the tradition of the Toltec, a Nagual guides an individual to personal freedom. Combining new insights with old wisdom, don Miguel has dedicated his life to sharing the ancient Toltec wisdom by translating it into practical concepts that promote transformation through truth and common sense. In February of 2002, don Miguel survived a near-fatal heart attack. The impact of the heart attack on his physical body prevents him from returning to wide-spread public speaking and lecturing. He intends to complete several, limited appearances, each year. When he knew that he could not return to public touring, don Miguel turned to his son, don Jose Luis, and witnessed the passage of a young man into the new Nagual in the Eagle-Knight lineage; don Jose.

Eluv-Live Interview with Krishna Das
Sunday Nov 07, 2010
Sunday Nov 07, 2010
PHOTO: Eluv & Krishna Das Krishna Das takes time to speak with me about his life, with stories of his adventures. He has a great sense of humor and it was a delight to interview and spend time with him. Ram Ram Ram. Sharing his heart through music and chanting is the basis of Krishna Das' own spiritual work;his way of serving the Divine within himself and others. In the winter of 1968, Krishna Das met Ram Dass, who had just returned from his first trip to India. After living and traveling with Ram Dass in the U.S., and hearing Ram Dass' many stories about Maharaj-ji, Krishna Das traveled to India, where he was blessed to meet and stay with this extraordinary guru. While living in India for almost three years, Krishna Das' heart was especially drawn to the practice of Bhakti Yoga—the yoga of devotion. Fanning the flames of his inner longing, Maharaj-ji led him deeper and deeper into the practice of kirtan—chanting the Names of God. As an appointed pujari (priest) for the Durga temple in Maharaj-ji's ashram in the foothills of the Himalayas, Krishna Das immersed himself in the worship of the Divine Goddess. Krishna Das spent as much time as possible with Maharaj-ji over the years in India, opening himself to the flow of Grace and purifying his heart. Early in 1973, he was asked by Maharaj-ji to return to America. Krishna Das says, 'At what would turn out to be my last darshan of Maharaj-ji's physical body, I was petrified with fear about returning to the U.S. after so many years. I hadn't worn a pair of jeans or shoes for such a long time that I couldn't imagine what it would be like. I didn't want to ask Maharaj-ji what I should do in America, but all of a sudden I blurted out in anguish, 'Maharaj-ji! How can I serve you in America?' 'He looked at me with mock disgust and said, 'What is this? If you ask how you should serve then it is no longer service. Do what you want.' I couldn't believe my ears. How could doing what I wanted to do be of service to him? I didn't have that kind of faith. I just sat there, stunned. Then after a minute or so he looked over at me, smiling sweetly, and asked, 'So, how will you serve me?' 'My mind was blank. It was time for me to leave for Delhi, to catch the plane back to the States. He was looking at me and laughing. I bent down and touched his feet for the last time and when I looked up he, he was beaming at me, 'So, how will you serve me in America?' I felt like I was moving in a dream. I floated across the courtyard and bowed to him one more time from a distance. As I did, the words came to me, 'I will sing to you in America.' Soon afterwards, during the full moon in September, Neem Karoli Baba left his body. Now he had to be found within. The chanting, the meditation, the puja and all the wonderful time spent with Maharaj-ji turned out to be seeds that he himself had planted in my heart... seeds that would keep growing and blossom by his Grace. Over the years Krishna Das has made numerous pilgrimages throughout India, meeting teachers and saints of many spiritual traditions on his quest to open and purify his heart. Living in jungles, in ashrams, and in holy places throughout India, he has had an opportunity to absorb the ancient truths that have been held by the Indian culture for thousands of years. He has studied Buddhist meditation practices with Anagarika Munindra and S.N. Goenka, and has been initiated into Tibetan Buddhist practices by lamas from various lineages. Krishna Das has been chanting on a regular basis in yoga centers all over the world. He has taught with Ram Dass and sung for many saints and yogis here and in India. http://www.krishnadas.com/ http://www.radiantsol.com/

Eluv Live interview with Roseanna Ellis
Tuesday Sep 30, 2008
Tuesday Sep 30, 2008
Roseanna Ellis, is a licensed alternative therapist and an EFT practitioner who teaches EFT to her clients. She is a certified practitioner of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), CranioSacral, Myofascial, and Manual Lymph Drainage therapeutic interventions, and specializes in sports and neuromuscular massage. Roseanna is a certified personal trainer and a member of the International Sports and Fitness Training Association. She is also trained in Active Isolated Stretching by its developer, Aaron Mattes. In addition to her bodywork and fitness training, Roseanna has spent more than 18 years working with medical professionals, physical therapists, hospitals, and nursing homes to assist patients to heal and manage illnesses through therapeutic bodywork interventions. She is a frequent educator to professionals in the health care industry. For more information on Roseanna Ellis visit: http://www.wellagain.net She firmly believes that suppressed stress and negative emotions are stored in the body. If allowed to linger there long enough, it puts the body at a high risk for chronic illnesses, pathological and neurological disorders. She has used EFT on clients ranging from the age of 2 to 97. Roseanna states many times when the emotional issues are resolved, the physical symptoms that were attached to the emotion often become resolved also. EFT is a form of emotional acupuncture without the use of needles. Instead you use light tapping pressure on the face, chest and hands to stimulate traditional Chinese acupuncture points. Electric circuits run through the body and send messages to the brain to control all functions, both physical and emotional. The meridians are the energy centers along this circuit. Negative emotions cause a disruption in the energy flow causing the healing process to stop. By tapping on key acupuncture points on specific areas of the body while focusing on the issue you want resolved, the body’s energy system is activated and resolution of the problem takes place within a very short time. In most cases, the anger or fear, pain or phobias simply disappear for good. Blocked energy becomes cleared and healing is accelerated. Thousands of cases have been clinically tested with an average of about 80% success rate. The miraculous wonder of this therapy is that it is simple, safe, gentle, and very profound. Best of all, you can learn how to perform this dynamic therapy on yourself or others. Discovering the secrets to Abundance! You are about to embark on a wonderful discovery- using your mind as a magnet to attract abundance and prosperity into your life. Many people desire financial freedom but they have unconscious resistance to receiving these gifts. Imagine too that you can learn to change your limited vibrations that are blocking and interfering with your health, happiness, abundance and prosperity. Imagine for a moment having the ability to drastically reduce or eliminate your stress, anxiety, phobias, doubts, pain and fears. Imagine also that you’re changed vibrations can begin to attract abundance and prosperity into your life. Sounds amazing? Sounds unbelievable? Well, it is absolutely true! What if you could live a life of abundance instead of just dreaming about it? What if it is so easy, but you just weren’t given all the tools to make it happen? What if you were finally offered the right tools that really work to clear your blocks to attracting success and abundance into your life? There is plenty of abundance - more than enough for everyone. You deserve to have all that you desire. So what are you waiting for? The art of attraction is right at your fingertips. According to Roseanna, EFT may be the world's fastest-growing self-help technique out there in achieving a healthy mind and body. When you use EFT, you embark on a wonderful journey - using the energy system of your body with the power of your mind as a magnet to attract abundance, joy, health and, prosperity. EFT doesn’t only work for abundance and prosperity alone. With it, phobias, stress, anxiety, anger, and traumas just to name a few, often fade in minutes. Even depression can be alleviated in many cases without drugs. It is also used in sports, business, and scholastic performance. EFT paves the way for the mind and the body to heal, issues to become resolved, self-esteem to be restored and self-sabotage to be removed; opening the door to prosperity, abundance and a happy healthy life. It may well be the world’s fastest-growing self-help technique out there in achieving happiness and giving hope when hope is lost. Roseanna Ellis will be in Tampa, Florida to give a 2 day EFT seminar on October 25th & 26th. Her EFT workshops give you all the basics you need to begin to apply it right away! Eluv Live Interview with Internal Astronaut creators, Sebastian Sine and Elijah Tome
Thursday Sep 04, 2008
Thursday Sep 04, 2008
For those of you who like to push the envelope and live outside the box, creators of this unique portal http://www.internalastronaut.com, Sebastian Sine and Elijah Tome provide you with an opportunity to actively participate in “IA” or Internal Astronaut, and help create user generated content…pushing the boundaries of mind/body/space, and going beyond with unlimited potential for inner growth and exploration into the self, and the expanses of the universe. One part art project, one part social experiment, the Internal Astronaut and its accompanying Temporal Decompression Device, also referred to as the T.D.D., are currently under the humble management of two individuals: Sebastian Sine and Elijah Tome. Sebastian and Elijah are very adamant about defining their roles in regard to the Internal Astronaut as well as the T.D.D. They openly admit their active involvement in the development of the Temporal Decompression Device but strongly emphasize that the ideas and concepts contained within the Internal Astronaut have existed for ages and as such they cannot, in clear conscience, take credit for the creation of the Internal Astronaut its self. Sebastian and Elijah have embarked on a joint effort to present the Internal Astronaut as a philosophy for the future, one that has the potential to identify the similarities among all humans as well as encouraging the development of each individual's unique abilities of perception. Internal Astronaut is a method of thought who's emergence during this particular time here on earth marks the ending of an era and the dawning of a new age in human thought and development. Eluv Live Interview with Bhagavan Das
Monday Aug 25, 2008
Monday Aug 25, 2008
I had the opportunity to spend time with Bhagavan Das and attend his events while he was in Tampa, Florida (USA). I am excited to share this most interesting interview with Bhagavan Das as he speaks of his early experiences, and reflects upon his spiritual journey. Teacher, performer, counter-cultural icon, lover of God: Bhagavan Das is as rich and manifold as Existence itself. Born within sight of the Pacific Ocean in California, Bhagavan Das was raised in the heart of postwar American affluence. Six and a half feet tall, athletic, musically and scholastically brilliant, Mike Riggs typified the promise of Southern Californian golden youth. But bored and disturbed by the monotony of suburban existence and the sterility of American materialism, he set forth to explore the world, leaving home at the age of eighteen to seek fortune and experience. A long journey had begun. Busking for change throughout Europe, hanging out with the yet-unknown Leonard Cohen in Greece, the future Bhagavan Das headed east, hiking overland through Afghanistan and Pakistan into India. All possessions stolen, he threw himself into an intensive and painful period of solitary retreat. Upon emerging he had a new direction: total, unitary focus on devotion to God. For the next six years he lived as an Indian sadhu, deepening his spiritual practice and sharpening his discernment. He met many saints and holy people, but his heart was truly opened by his guru, the great Neem Karoli Baba Maharaj, who gave Bhagavan Das his name. Bhagavan Das spent the next few years in the close company of his guru, absorbing his vibrations and drinking from the fountain of his grace. Bhagavan Das gained worldwide fame from the publication of Be Here Now, the well-known “DIY guide to enlightenment.” The book documents Richard Alpert’s transformation into Ram Dass through an initial encounter with Bhagavan Das, who ultimately brought him to Maharaji. This fateful sequence of events has affected millions of people as it has rippled through time. Bhagavan Das went on to record a number of albums that are considered classics. AH has been called an originator of the world music style, and Now, produced by Beastie Boy Mike D., brought traditional Indian chants together with contemporary beats and loops. In 2005 Bhagavan Das released the three-CD Sunset Kirtan, recorded live in New York. He has also written a memoir, It’s Here Now, Are You?, which emphasizes the necessity of personal effort to attain spiritual riches. Today Bhagavan Das tours almost constantly, chanting the name of God and giving structured workshops on the mystic effects of sound. He visits all the major cities in North America and Europe yearly, and usually spends some time in the Caribbean or Mexico on winter retreats. Eluv Live Interview with Carl Palmer
Thursday Feb 28, 2008
Thursday Feb 28, 2008
Eluv spoke with Carl about the early days in rock and roll, touring, and his latest projects. Carl is a sweetheart, very gracious and humble... He called me from his cell while he was on the road on his last tour, literally in between shows to do this interview. I very much appreciate him taking time to do this during his busy schedule. Carl Rocks! Carl Palmer is truly a dynamic, brilliant technician and drummer extraordinaire for some of music’s most memorable bands including Atomic Rooster, The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, Asia and Emerson, Lake and Palmer. Along the way his dazzling speed and mastery of the drums, combined with his infectious stage personality, have secured for him a respected place in history as one of Rock and Roll’s greatest drummers Carl's definitely all about the music. When he's off the road, he does drum clinics. Some of the clinics are for aspiring and also master drummers; others are at schools for deaf children and schools for blind children. In this interview, Carl shares some of his secrets for working with physically challenged children. I’m sending positive healing vibes and blessings to Carl Palmer... Carl Palmer, drummer extraordinaire and founding member of Emerson, Lake and Palmer; Asia and The Carl Palmer Band; has recently had a successful heart operation carried out at an undisclosed hospital. Palmer, 57, had an angioplasty procedure done which is designed to prevent further narrowing of an artery in his heart by insertion of a stent. "I am happy to say the procedure was a complete success and I am already feeling better each day,” says Palmer, who is resting before beginning the Asia 2008 World Tour, set to begin in March. "This was a precautionary measure done to ensure my safety. In my case, it was as a result of a hereditary factor, and the physicians involved wanted to make sure every precaution was taken. I am very grateful for their medical expertise and care. With the procedure behind him, Palmer is cleared once again to resume his normal work schedule, which includes tours with both ASIA and his own group, The Carl Palmer Band. Aside from its World Tour launching next month, ASIA will be releasing Phoenix, its first new studio album with the original line-up since 1983. You can listen to a live interview with Eluv and Carl Palmer right here... Meanwhile, I wish him a speedy recovery, continued good health, and a wonderfully successful upcoming tour! Catch him if he’s in your town for what promises to be an unforgettable show!

Eluv-Live Interview with Anoushka Shankar

Eluv speaks with Anoushka Shankar about music, life and her Grammy-nominated album “Rise”. Anoushka Shankar is the only artist in the world to be trained completely by legendary sitar virtuoso and composer Ravi Shankar, her father. Anoushka emerges as a most dynamic and respected artist in her own right, performing with extraordinary talent and grace, bringing her rich heritage of eastern music to the west. On Rise—which was composed, produced and arranged by Anoushka—she collaborated with a select crew of virtuoso Eastern and Western musicians wielding a variety of both acoustic and electronic instruments, often engaging in unexpected ways to create tantalizing new sounds. On Rise there are a couple of tracks on which she eschews the sitar all together in favor of allowing her voice to be heard by way of her compositions and arrangements instead. The result is a stunning and evocative work that will surely catapult Anoushka Shankar into the vanguard of the world music scene. Anoushka, in collaboration with Karsh Kale, has just released her most recent album, Breathing Under Water, a mind bending mix of classical sitar and electronica beats and melodies. Notable guest vocals include her half-sister, Norah Jones and Sting, while her father also performs in a sitar duet along with his daughter. The album was released on August 28, 2007.
